Out of sight.
Out of mind.
Fixed.

PinedIn pins your most important tasks as floating cards above every app on your system. Switch tabs, open a game, go anywhere — your tasks follow you. Always.

FIG 0.1
Pins to the surface.
Every task gets its own window. Floating above everything else on your system.
FIG 0.2
Urgency by design.
Three levels. Each one behaves differently. Critical tasks refuse to be ignored.
FIG 0.3
Built to interrupt.
Shake. Flash. Re-trigger. PinedIn doesn't ask for your attention. It takes it.

How it works

One concept. Zero escape routes.

PinedIn doesn't live in a tab - it lives on top of everything you do.

01
Add a task
Hit Ctrl+Shift+Space from anywhere. A floating card appears in seconds. No app switching, no context loss.
02
Floats everywhere
An always-on-top borderless window above every app — games, IDEs, browsers, video players. You cannot accidentally hide it.
03
Act on it
Done to close, Snooze to delay, Remind to reschedule. Critical tasks limit snoozes — you can't ignore what matters.

Floating card

Every detail.
Deliberate.

The floating card is PinedIn's core UI. Here's what's on it and why.

Critical
Upload final report to the portal before midnight tonight
⊕ Today, 11:59 PM
Title + Urgency badge
Task name and Critical / Medium / Low badge. Collapsed by default. Glanceable in under a second.
Description + due date
Full context visible without opening the main app. Due date shown with relative time.
Action buttons
Done dismisses forever. Snooze delays by your configured interval. Remind reschedules for later.
Live countdown bar
If a time limit is set, a bar drains in real time. White → Amber → Red → Flashing red. When it hits zero, an OS notification fires.

Zero telemetry

Your tasks
never leave
your machine.

PinedIn isn't a SaaS. There are no servers. No accounts. No network requests. Everything lives in a SQLite file on your local disk.

OFFLINE-ONLY: ENABLED
Local SQLite Database
Every task lives in a single .db file on your machine. No sync, no backup, no cloud — yours forever.
ACCOUNT: NONE
No Signup Required
Download and run — no email, no onboarding, no account. The app works the second you install it.
NETWORK: 0 BYTES/S
Zero Network Requests
PinedIn makes no outbound requests. Optional update check on launch — that's it. No telemetry, no tracking.

Beta feedback

What people
are saying.

Real users. Real tasks. Real results.

"I used to lose focus switching between my IDE, docs, and Slack to find my task list. Now my top priority floats above every window — I glance up and I know exactly what to do next."
— Arjun K., Backend Engineer
"Juggling client work across Figma, Notion, and email meant tasks fell through the cracks every week. PinedIn sits on top of every app I use — I haven't missed a deadline since."
— Sarah R., Freelance Designer
"Every productivity app wants your email, your data, your subscription. PinedIn is a single .exe with zero outbound traffic — I verified it with Wireshark myself."
— Omar H., Security Engineer
"My advisor emails tasks, my supervisor uses Slack, my own ideas come at odd hours — nothing was centralized. Now every task lands as a floating card I can actually see."
— Priya M., PhD Researcher
"Every task manager I've tried becomes another tab I forget to open. PinedIn doesn't live in a tab — it lives on my screen, always visible, always reminding me."
— Lena W., Product Manager

Why this matters

Why not just use
Notion?

Every app you've tried has the same problem. They live in a tab.

Common questions

Questions.
Answered.

Is PinedIn really free?
+
Yes. Free forever. No trial, no freemium, no subscription. Download the .exe, install it, use it. That's it.
Does it work when I'm in a fullscreen game?
+
Yes. PinedIn uses OS-level always-on-top windows — not browser notifications. It appears above fullscreen games, video players, and any other app on Windows.
Where is my data stored?
+
Locally. A single SQLite file on your machine. PinedIn makes zero network requests except checking GitHub Releases for updates when you open the app — and only if you have internet.
Will it slow down my PC?
+
No. PinedIn uses under 30mb of RAM and near-zero CPU when idle. It's built with Tauri + Rust — not Electron. The binary is ~8mb.
Can I use it without installing?
+
Not currently — the .exe installer sets up the system tray and startup entry. A portable .exe version is planned for a future update.
What happens if I snooze a Critical task too many times?
+
After 2 snoozes, the Snooze button disappears. Done is the only option. That's by design — Critical means critical.
Can I organize tasks into workspaces?
+
Yes. PinedIn supports Workspaces — create separate task lists for work, personal, side projects. Each workspace has its own tasks and floating cards. Switch between them with one click from the settings panel.
Mac and Linux support?
+
Coming in a future update. Sign up at the bottom of this page to get notified when it drops.
